Suffen Studio is run by one person, Tom, based in Wetherden, a village just off the A14 between Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds.
who's behind it
I got my start designing websites for golf clubs and building the apps that went alongside them. That's where I fell in love with the craft: the mix of design and development behind something people genuinely enjoy using. Suffen Studio is me bringing that same care to websites and apps for local businesses across West Suffolk.
I was born and raised in Suffolk and have lived in West Suffolk my whole life. Bury St Edmunds has always been my local town, and that's more than a nice detail: it means I know these towns and the businesses in them, and what actually gets customers through the door. I build websites that reflect that, not a template that could belong to anyone, anywhere.
Too many small businesses in the area get stuck with a website — or no app or system to support how they actually work — built by someone who's never set foot in Suffolk. That's the gap Suffen exists to close.
The name, explained.
In old Suffolk dialect, suffen means "something", and it doubles as "very", as in he talk suffen quick.
